PJ Citrus operates as a wholesale distributor with local backup inventory. We don’t broker loads from three states away and hope they arrive on time. We hold citrus in South Florida, document every lot, and deliver on scheduled routes. When your retail or foodservice account doubles an order overnight, you don’t have to call California. You call us.
Local Backup Inventory You Can Rely On
The biggest risk in wholesale citrus is the gap between your customer’s demand and your supplier’s harvest. We solve that by maintaining local inventory in Florida.
California Navels — held in cold storage during peak season windows
Florida Valencia — direct from local groves, immediate turnaround
Moroccan and California Mandarins — bridged supply for spring months
Grapefruit — year-round volume, multiple varieties
When your customer calls with an unexpected order, you call us. If it’s in our warehouse, it ships today. If it’s scheduled inbound, we tell you exactly when it lands. No guessing.
Full Traceability, Documentation & Certifications
Your downstream customers — supermarkets, hotels, cruise lines, exporters — increasingly ask for paperwork. We prepare it before you ask.
Lot traceability — every pallet tracked from source to delivery
USDA certifications — available on request, no delay
FDA compliance — handled at packing and distribution level
Origin documentation — California, Florida, or import records as needed
BOL and receiving reports — accurate, detailed, delivered with the load
You forward our docs. Your customer is satisfied. The chain never breaks.
What We Distribute
We move volume across four core categories:
Oranges California Navel and Florida Valencia in 40 lb and 30 lb cases. Mixed juice cases available. Loose bin options for repackers.
Mandarins California mandarins (seasonal) and Moroccan Nadorcott / Afourer (spring bridge). Seedless, easy-peel, retail and foodservice grades.
Grapefruit White and Ruby Red varieties. 40 lb standard cases. Long shelf life, ideal for institutions and export.
Mixed & Custom Loads Combine categories on a single pallet. Split pallets available for mid-size wholesalers who need variety without taking full truckloads of one item.
Volume Pricing That Scales
Our pricing is indexed to your monthly volume and commitment level.
Pallet pricing — 50+ cases, standard wholesale rate
Multi-pallet tiers — 5, 10, 20+ pallets monthly, discounted per-unit
Contract pricing — lock your rate for 30, 60, or 90 days with volume commitment
Spot market — flexible pricing for one-off opportunities, subject to availability
We quote honestly. If the market is up, we tell you before you commit. If we can save you money by shifting variety or timing, we recommend it.
Delivery & Logistics
We run scheduled routes across South Florida and coordinate outbound logistics for broader distribution.
South Florida routes — Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa
Dock delivery — pallet jack or forklift ready, BOL signed at receipt
Consolidated loads — combine citrus with partner products if needed
Advance scheduling — book your delivery window 48 hours out, not 48 hours late
For wholesalers outside our direct route, we coordinate freight or refer you to our regional partners. We don’t promise what we can’t deliver ourselves.
How to Become a Wholesale Partner
We qualify every wholesale account to protect the integrity of the supply chain.
Submit your business profile — resale certificate, primary markets, estimated monthly volume
Credit application — Net 15 or Net 30 terms available; references required
Trial load — one pallet to verify quality, sizing, and documentation
Route assignment — weekly or biweekly slot on our delivery schedule
Most wholesale accounts are active within one week of application.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum wholesale order? Two pallets (108 cases) is the standard minimum for wholesale pricing. Trial loads may be negotiated for qualified applicants.
Do you sell ex-warehouse or delivered? Both. We offer FOB Miami for buyers with their own freight, or delivered pricing for accounts on our direct routes.
Can I get exclusive territory? Exclusive distribution is evaluated case by case for high-volume partners with proven retail or foodservice networks. Contact us to discuss.
What happens if a load arrives with quality issues? Report within 24 hours of receipt with photos and BOL. We replace the load or issue credit on the next delivery. We track by lot number, so resolution is fast.
Do you handle export documentation? We provide origin and phytosanitary documentation as required. For complex export needs, we coordinate with your freight forwarder.
Is your inventory truly local, or do you broker from elsewhere? We hold physical inventory in South Florida. When we broker specialty items outside our warehouse, we tell you upfront. No bait and switch.
